Sometimes stressful workplace situations occur as a result of unforeseen clients or employee incidents within Government and non-government organisations. These incidents can have a major negative impact on employees if not addressed appropriately, along with workplace health and safety implications.

Examples of workplace critical incidents include:

  • Assaults or conflicts between colleagues, customers, or clients
  • Workplace accidents and injuries
  • The death of somebody within the organisation or business
  • Experiencing major threats or abuse

Our qualified counselling facilitators are on hand to provide CISD to your employees through a warm, empathetic process which improves coping strategies and reduces the risk of trauma symptoms, burnout, and compassion fatigue.

The process begins with a group debrief, with our counsellor fostering a connection between people who have experienced the same incident. Employees receive peer and professional support immediately following an incident and can talk about their experiences and feelings in a safe environment. Individual counselling sessions are then made available to your employees following the group debrief.

This CISD process enhances employee wellbeing and resilience and lowers the rate of employee turnover.
